Video capture hardware, which is used to record video on your computer, can be an internal card or an external device. One external device you can use with Windows XP is EasyCAP from Ulead. Download the EasyCAP software drivers file and save it to your desktop. Double-click 'STK116Drivers.zip' to view its contents.

Double-click the 'Setup.exe' file to install the updated drivers on your system.

Insert EasyCAP into a USB port on your computer. Windows XP will recognize the new device and install the drivers.

Reboot your computer and wait for the operating system to load.
Double-click on the 'Ulead' icon. Select the option for 'Capture/Capture Video/Source' to verify that the software is working properly.
Warning
Do not plug EasyCAP into a USB port before installing the software drivers.

The EasyCap DC60 is a USB video capture device for Windows XP and Vista. The DC60 is one of the cheapest video capture devices, and many do not come with installation CDs. Sometimes sellers ship the wrong drivers, even if you do get an install CD. Finding drivers for XP can be a problem if you didn't get the correct driver file. The solution is to get the correct generic drivers and install them manually.
Choose 'Imaging Device' and Windows will search for drivers. After a minute or two, the computer will state it did not find drivers.
